The investment banking sector has historically constituted a fundamental component of the financial services industry, serving as a facilitator for capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and providing advisory services to corporations and governmental entities. Recent trends, however, suggest that this sector is experiencing a considerable transformation, driven by technological advancements, regulatory shifts, and evolving client expectations. Notably, at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the progress of the technological sector has been accelerated, resulting in the reshaping of various financial services, including payments, lending, insurance, and wealth management. The transition from traditional cash payments to more modern systems, such as the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), exemplifies this rapid adaptation.
